AN OPEN LETTER TO KARL ROVE AND THE BUSH TEAM

The purpose of this letter is to offer my help to President Bush and his campaign. I do not intend this letter to be anything other than an attempt to help in their upcoming election against Hillary Clinton.

Dear Mr. Rove,

As of this date, Hillary Clinton has not yet announced her candidacy for President in 2004. Pleased be advised, she is running and using this time with her book tour to build her national campaign organization. Because of this situation, I am writing this letter to you. So you will know, I will endeavor to ask people to send this letter to you as well, in order to get you to read it. Sorry for having to use this tactic, but saving my country from another Clinton Administration is very important to me.

I ask you very humbly at this time to talk to me and let me help you stop her. It is with grave concern for the future of our Nation that I am forced to resort to such a request. I know what she is going to do to President Bush's campaign and how she will do it! I will do anything in my power to expose her, but I can not promise the people of this Nation that I can do it alone. You, on the other hand, possess the power to stop her, but are no match for the system she and Bill will use to win.

Let me explain, how I can seem so bold as to make such a claim to you and your team. You are at present trying to raise as much money as possible before she declares her intentions to run. There is wisdom in this effort however; it will do you little, if any good, against the Clinton machine you are going to be up against very soon.

It will be your job to try and keep the President on message and to keep Hillary from controlling your agenda. This methodology would be acceptable against most opponents but not against the Clintons. To pursue such a plan will be futile. You need only to remember President Bush's father's race against Bill Clinton to see that this method did not work then, nor will it work now!

You must start now by understanding that the Clintons are going to use a multi-dimensional strategy against you. They will first establish her as the candidate she needs to be in order to beat you. Then they will steadily and methodically work to establish you as the candidate they need you to be in order to achieve victory in 2004. They will not only do this to you, but by the time you figure out how they are packaging you, it will be too late for you to do anything about it! All of the money you could ever hope to raise will not be able to repair the damage they and the media will have inflicted. They have ink given to them by the barrel; you on the other hand, buy it by the pen. Even though the pen is mightier than the sword, the barrel will always drown the pen. You have the pen, they have the barrel.

With what I have written thus far, you may believe that I value the skills of the Clintons in the art of campaigning to a higher standard than that of any other group or individual in the history of the world. As well, I must seem quite under-whelmed by your abilities to match them and win. I do not mean to offend, but if you are committed to such feelings then I think it only fair to sustain your commitment and concur.

Do you believe Jennifer Flowers, her story and the resultant negative impact it had on Bill Clinton was a ruse? For it to gain national attention was no accident nor was it a natural occurrence in nature. It was well planned, well implemented and hard fought. I know, because I had to orchestrate the plan alone.

Can anyone believe Paula Jones' story would have jumped into the pages of newspapers and on television screens and have created a stir in talk radio without a catalyst? Paula Jones, to her credit stayed the course amidst scandalous remarks from both sides, yet, it was her depositions of Bill Clinton that finally broke the veil of lies put out by Bill Clinton. It took planning, dedication and skill to make it dent the armor of Bill Clinton and bring a Nation to the realization that he had done more than have occasional rendezvous' with women that wanted to be his concubines. Again, if you will check the origin of this event you will find my work.

To dwell on Monica Lewinski would be to be-labor an event of historic relevance to a stain that will never wash off of this Nations White House. To this matter, ask Matt Drudge where he first got the story. I am sure he will tell you its beginning.

White Water was another sample of how planning and knowledge of how the Clintons function, in a society they rule, can find its way to Washington and to the Nation. Long before it became an investigation and then a media event, it was a plan and then a story told to millions. Only then, did it have enough power to become an investigation. Check with hundreds of talk radio hosts to find out who developed and delivered the story that caused the beginning of the event.

I compare these and most other disgraceful acts afforded Bill and Hillary Clinton to any effort brought forth during Bill's original race against George Bush, Sr. and President Bush's narrow victory against Al Gore. Surely, some modicum of votes cast against Al Gore, were caused from the Clinton debacle as President to which I have a right to claim some part.

In closing, I do plan to work against Hillary as she aspires to become President in 2004. I will make her race less than a sure thing. With your help and what can be done together, I assure you we can end their quest for power, forever.

Should you choose to ignore my hand in friendship, in the spirit of co-operation, I think it only fair to foretell you that I would then know that this Nation would have no candidate in the entire party to lift this Nation up to the challenges it faces in the future. You may not like my candor and perhaps we may never rise to the level of being considered good friends, we can at least find joint purpose in the days to come and achieve a level of professionalism to defeat the inevitable onslaught being brought against President George Bush and the Greatest Nation on Earth.

SOMETHING SEEMS WRONG

Today is July 22, 2003. I will instruct the Nichols Notes Staff to run this article regardless of the outcome of today's great news. Today we hear that both of Saddam Hussein's sons are dead. They were killed in action in Mosul, Iraq by a force of approximately 200 soldiers of the 101st Airborne in that region. Also, the top secret highly trained "Task Force 20," who's responsible for tracking down and capturing or killing high profile members of the Hussein regime were apart of this operation.

Our hopes and prayers are with our soldiers and their belief that they got Hussein's sons. This would obviously hurt the command/control structure that has been causing a steady loss of life for our troops in Iraq. Better still, this victory could prove to the Iraqi people that the Hussein family is really gone forever. With this realization, maybe peace can finally come to a country that lost any concept of what living without fear meant, so long ago, that there are generations that have no way of knowing any other way of life.

So with all of this good news, why do I say something seems wrong? I can't say for sure, it is just one of my gut feelings. I get this way, when things seem a little odd. First, Mosul is in Northern Iraq and that area is heavily Kurdish. There are Suni Moslems in the area as well, but it would not be a Suni Moslem stronghold where you would think the sons of Saddam Hussein would feel safe. Ever since the first Gulf War the Hussein family has had to move from house to house every night to keep from being killed by United Nation forces, as well as people within Iraq itself. So why, if their life styles were so super slippery, when they were in power and controlled every aspect of life in that country, would they be so easily caught when they were out of power and on the run from 150,000 of our forces in a full court press to find them. Add to this, they would be in a cousin's palace in an area full of Kurds that would have no problem turning them in. If they were in an area surrounded by Suni Moslems and a person co-operated with our troops they would not live very long. Certainly not long enough to get the millions in reward for turning them in, much less live long enough to spend any of it.

For someone in a Kurdish community the reaction would be totally different. Because of the horrors inflicted on the Kurds by Hussein and his sons anyone finding and turning them over to our troops would be hailed as a hero. I don't know everything, I do know the region and this bothers me greatly.

Now I know your thinking that maybe they would hold up in that area because our forces would not expect them to hide out there. I don't think so, because they would know that we wouldn't have to look as hard for them there because we would know that the Kurdish community would do most of the work for us. If what we are told really happened, as to what took place, well, the brothers would have been right in their thinking, they would be safe hiding amongst their enemies, not dead. For me, it just plain don't feel right.

Second, is the issue of 200 soldiers of the 101st Airborne unit attacking a palace defended by three men and one fourteen (l4) year old boy that we are told that lasted over three hours. Allowing for several breaks in the action for our troops to try and get them to give up, it is hard for me to believe it would take three hours for our soldiers to turn that place into Swiss cheese. They had small arms, (rifles and pistols) and we had multiple ordinances involved, (meaning we had bigger weapons) makes for a very short engagement. We also had "tow missiles" mounted on ground vehicles and an OH58D or two, plus helicopters loaded to the hilt giving that palace and anyone in it seconds not minutes or hours to die. So, how come it took over three hours?

The third thing that seems a little odd is the combined operation using the 101st Airborne and the special "Task Force 20" group. Normally, "Task Force 20" works alone. Enough said about that.

Now, the last thing that seems wrong to me is going to sound a little goofy for the faint of heart, so read this part at your own risk. When you look at the palace that they were killed in, it looks as though it meets the standards set by Saddam Hussein for properties he developed. The walls would be l2 to 16 inches thick made of solid sand mortar. The layout would include escape tunnels and many other amenities suited for a tyrannical family that was constantly worried about being attacked. The one in Mosul surely was built for protection and for the possibility of a speedy exit. The reason is, it is surrounded by the Kurds in that community. This means the area could destabilize very fast and would have been one of the first areas our troops would have to go in at a potential uprising.

The bottom line will be the condition of the bodies as they are shown to the world. For "tow missiles" and 50 caliber rounds to have been used on that palace there should be little doubt as to what the bodies will look like. Let's wait and see what develops when we see the bodies. Maybe my fears and suspicions are without merit. I sure hope so.

UPDATE

Since writing this article on Tuesday of this week, we have now seen the initial still pictures, as well, as today (Friday, 25th), we have now watched videos and have had a pretty good view of the bodies.

We now know each brother's body has 20 bullet holes in them. Looking at the holes none look like wounds made by 50 caliber rounds. Nor do they show signs of being blown apart by "tow missiles." In fact, the holes in the bodies give the appearance of that of small arms fire. Also, there does appear to be shrapnel wounds on both bodies.

Also, we now know that the fourteen (l4) year old boy killed was not killed by the OH58D's during the main attack nor was he killed by any "tow missiles" or 50 caliber weapons used by the ground assault force. He was killed by a group that rushed the palace, after most inside were thought to be already dead. Again, small arms fire.

This leaves only the bodyguard to be the only one that may have died by 50 caliber rounds or could have been blown-up by "tow missiles."

This means that with a constant downpour of 50 caliber rounds, three out of four of the people in the palace did not get hit by any of these powerful rounds. This seems a little odd, but after all that is what caused me to write this article in the first place.

Don't accuse me of starting any conspiracies about what happened in Mosul or whether or not the Hussein brothers were killed. All I am doing is explaining why I said something seems wrong. I think it is better coming from me now, than from Hillary and the Democrats later. It will come up again!

DID WE GET HUSSEIN SONS

The question a lot of people in this country and everyone in Iraq is asking, did we actually get Saddam Hussein's sons? Let me attempt to answer this question in a way that makes sense to me and I hope will help you in this matter.

As has been said and described already, the Hussein Brothers are dead. A majority of the people in Iraq are most probably suspect of whether it is true at this time. In a Nation like Iraq, we should expect them to doubt our claims, as being the truth. Remember, during our invasion and subsequent taking of Baghdad, they were told that we were not really there and that they were destroying our army, as we tried to advance. As they found out their government was lying and they probably knew that this was not the first time. So why would we expect the people of Iraq to believe the story, we have told them about the Hussein brothers.

The fact of the story being, the brothers are actually dead and could no longer ever harm them again. Put yourself in their place and I believe you would be just as skeptical, as well.

It will take a long time for the people of that country to learn to believe what their government tells them. This problem is compounded, when they know our Government is the one telling their government what to tell them to believe. I am sure you can understand their dilemma, especially when you stop and ask yourself, if you believe everything our own Government tells us.

The real question should be will the death of the Hussein brothers stop the constant killing of our soldiers every week? Now, this question is very complicated. If the Hussein brothers are truly the ones paying people to kill our soldiers then, yes the killings should stop. I must interject a point that might be overlooked; it is very likely that there will be some attacks of retaliation by their loyalist followers on our soldiers. If the killings of our soldiers are being caused by people loyal to the old regime, or they are simply against us being in their country, for the purpose of helping them form a new government that we think they should have, versus them choosing the one they want, then the killings, we must assume will continue.

President Bush is taking a very big chance at this point. It is apparent the Hussein brothers are no longer a factor and next, if he gets Saddam Hussein and this old regime is no longer a factor and the killings of our troops continue at the present level or increases, then the people of our country will turn against this war.

I am sure you are asking how this can be. Simple, why should we keep losing our sons and daughters for a country and its people that do not want or even appreciate what our President and this Great Nation is doing for them. This administration will contend that it will not be the total population that would be against us and it is only a small radial group that is resisting our efforts. That is what they will say, but believe me it will not work. This Nation on the whole will turn against the war and against President Bush and his administration will be over.

President Bush, I support your actions and applaud you for taking the risk to save our soldiers lives. For their sake and yours, I hope it works.
