THE WAR IN IRAQ WILL START IN A MONTH OR TWOI know you think you just saw the war! You saw three (3) months of build up. You watched with your heart in your throat as we started the invasion in Iraq about three (3) weeks ago. We all were to watch the fireworks as the "shock and awe" air campaign started in Baghdad. We were and still are overwhelmingly proud of our troops when they charged into Baghdad in the most proficient manner and showed the world we won. Mop-up and setting up a new government in Iraq is all that is left. As of this day two (2) of our carriers and their fleets are going home along with our stealth fighters and bombers are leaving the theater for their home bases. The war, while work is still dangerous for our soldiers, is winding down and for all practical purposes is over. What a victory, remember now I said it hasn't started yet. Now you must be thinking I have really gone crazy --- not so fast!!! History, not what we saw will be the final truth about the war and that is yet to be written. Surely historians will tell what we all saw and the truth will be recorded for all times. Actually, the media will create the image of the war that will become what our children will read about years from now. What then will they read about the war with Iraq and it has as yet not been written. So, therefore, the war has not happened yet. What is the war for Iraq going to look like when the real war starts and ends? To know the answer to this question you need only to know who the actual combatants will be. I know you think that is stupid, it is the army of Saddam Hussein and the army of one coalition, wrong! It will be the Democrats, the liberal media and above all else, Hillary and Bill Clinton against the Bush Administration. Maybe a better line up should be the Bush versus Clinton presidential campaign 2004. By the way, how does this war for Iraq, that hasn't actually happened yet end? Simple, we lose or more directly, Bush loses and the Clinton's win. Let me give you what is going to happen and why. First, we legally had the right to attack Saddam's Iraq, because of our national security. As we were told, along with the entire world, Saddam had large stores of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). He was working with global terrorists organizations and would surely provide these types of weapons to them. Under this concept we did not need the approval of the United Nations (U.N.). In the event they would not help, we could act alone or with any nations that wanted to join with us. As you know the United Nations didn't and Great Britton and a few other countries did and the war was ready to begin. Then something changed. When we actually started the invasion the goal changed to liberating the people of Iraq from the evil dictatorial regime of Saddam Hussein. It became the regime "stupid" and if we accomplished that goal then we would surely find the WMD. The problem with this change in priorities is that we have no right to invade a sovereign nation to cause a change in a government, no matter how bad they are. This point you can bet will play a major role in the real war that is coming. With all of this, what am I trying to get at in this update? Let me explain it to you in a way that will sum this up entirely. We thought we saw and won the war with Iraq and it should be long remembered for a great victory for our military coalition and above all a shining example of the Bush Administration's resolve to protect our nation and the world. The problem is we didn't see what we thought we saw because it hasn't happened yet. The media and the presidential race of 2004 will be the actual war for Iraq. History has taught us the media and their favorite couple Bill and Hillary Clinton always win unless the Bush Administration learns from the past and change strategies or history will again repeat itself. HOW CAN THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION HAVE LOST THE WAR OF IRAQFirst, go back to Monday's update and remember that Bush justifies the war on Iraq because Saddam Hussein had WMD materials that he would sell or even give to terrorist groups that might use them against our nation. Therefore, in the interest of our national security we could invade capture and destroy these WMD before they could be used on us. Once the invasion started however, our objective became liberation of the people of Iraq from the evil dictatorial regime of Saddam Hussein. Once our coalition troops were in Iraq we would find and destroy the WMD. The problem with the change in our professed objective is that we have no legal right to overthrow the government of a sovereign nation. Here is how the future war with Iraq is going to look. First, we went in with an objective other than the one told to the American people, our Congress, United Nations and the entire world. This changing of objectives, by this Administration may have caused the United States, for the first time in our history to break the International Law. Instead of what we were led to believe, we invaded Iraq, not to find and destroy WMD, but rather to topple the evil regime of Saddam Hussein and free the Iraqi people of the dictator. Noble as that sounds, it is not within the scope of this or any Administration to overthrow sitting governments of other sobering nations with the might and power of the United States military. One might proclaim the legality of such a venture under a guise of National Security. Staying true to our national interest and legal procedural doctrine, we should have gone in and used our military only to the extent of holding at bay the sitting government. This would have allowed us to be able to locate and extract any and all materials related to WMD or any weapons declared to not be legal for the "insitu" (sitting ruling government) to have in the country as established by resolution of the United Nations or any other recognized world authority of International Law. Then and only then, could we hold those involved, or with implied involvement, within the "insitu" government for trial, in an appropriate International Court purview a violation. We then would have to regulate authority of governing the country back to those members of the "insitu" government of Iraq that were not involved in the "alleged" act of harboring weaponry found not to be legal under International Law. In the case of Iraq this could be tough. Everyone in Saddam Hussein's regime would probably be implicated. Even if no one was left to rule, we could only establish a temporary government until a trial for the regimen could take place and guilt or innocence's could be proven. If the entire regime was found guilty and no one would be left to rule the world court would convene a temporary government and establish a procedure to create a new one. What does all of this mean in layman language? Simply stated, President George Bush, your ass is grass and the Clinton's, with the help of the media, are the lawn mover! Sorry, about my crude language, but you did want the bottom line and that was the fastest way I know to get you to it. Now, I know you are confused. I of all people would never do anything to help the Clintons get back in power. I have just given them the key to how best use the War on Iraq to destroy the Bush Administration and win the Presidency for Hillary. She can then use her power as President, along with the future International Law problems, as an excuse to change the rules in the United Nations to allow past U. S. Presidents to serve as Secretary General or head of the United Nations. Thus, I have just put Hillary in as President and Bill as Secretary General of the United Nations and elevated them from the "in crowd" power elite of the United States to the most powerful couple in the world. Scary huh! Before you go away in total clinical depression and rush to your nearest bar to cry in your beer, remember, I know the Clinton's, Hillary especially. I can't explain it to you yet, you'll just have to believe in me for a little while longer. I have never let you down when it comes to the Clinton's and with a little luck I won't this time either. Read the next update and it should start making sense. You will see there is a method to my madness. Confidential: For Bill & Hillary Clinton's eyes only! (To members of our government, "that's Arkansas talk," for if you ain't them don't read this part). Hillary, you won't understand. You never learned how to play the game. Bill, you will need to try to spend a few hours with the "bitch," and try to explain it to her. Thanks in advance. Bill, I will try to speak real slowly so you'll at least get my drift. Since I have now given you the gift of a lifetime, one that will surely give Hillary and you the White House in 2004, you must ask yourself why? Why would a guy that has dogged you with scandal after scandal serve you up such a gift? Before you start planning your move back to the White House, you had better think long and real hard about something. Is my present to you a real gift or another trap, laying in wait for you to fall into? Remember, when walking in the jungle and you see a brand new roll of white toilet paper in a tree, where had you better look? At the toilet paper in the tree or down on the ground where you're about to step? Love, Larry P.S. Knowing that I'm still here, you may want to step up the operation at 58 Kensington Drive. Confidential: For the Liberal Media's Eyes Only! (To all of you in the Liberal Media, "that's Arkansas talk," that you can read this part.) Liberal Media, READ THIS UPDATE, AS MANY TIMES AS YOU NEED, TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND IT. Let's do Lunch, Larry P.S. It's O.K. I'll never tell the number of times you read it! See ya soon. THE LAW OF THE COLLECTIVEWhat on earth is the Law of the Collective? Better still, why would it be important to you? Good question! In fact, it is the best way I know, to teach you, and of course all of my enemies how I think, and the best clue I know of, to establish my pattern of how I approach problems and develop strategies. As a matter of fact, it rates above even the tenth law of thermal dynamics, "you can't make steak out of peanut butter." Or was that the seventh law.anyway you get the picture. Collectivism is the actual foundation of all things in our Government at all levels, especially when it comes to our federal government in Washington. It deals with the natural phenomenon that occurs when people are brought together to establish rules to co-exist. i.e., a group of people brought together to en-act laws. That should make you think of our second branch of government, known as the "Legislative Branch." By the way, the first is our "Executive Branch and our third is the wild card "Judicial Branch", just in case you got confused when I took the second one first. I bring all of this up to give you a little background in a little known "snippet" of our history. Thomas Jefferson in developing our constitution used "The Law of the Collective" or "Collectivism" in purposing the social model called our constitution. You see, Thomas Jefferson was in a dilemma. He was putting together a new and never before tried form of self governing for a new and still very fragile nation tentatively called the United States of America. He wanted to empower the people to rule themselves rather than establishing a ruling class like the one they had just fought a war to stop. I can hear Thomas Jefferson now, "Democracy"! Yes, that's the ticket! I'll set forth this nation as a Democracy. At that point he took up his feather quill pen and dipped it in ink and started writing. Then, after only a few minutes Mrs. Jefferson heard a disturbing yell from her incredibly intelligent husband, "Damn". She lovingly must have said, "Thomas Jefferson, don't make me come in there and wash your mouth out with lye soap." "What on earth is wrong with you?" "Honey," he said lovingly, "it's that Damn Collectivism again." "How can anyone develop a social model that will allow a young nation like ours to let the people govern themselves when the damn Law of Collectivism is always waiting in ambush 'to kick my ass?" "How can it be that I'm the smartest man in the world and I can't beat this one 'sum-bitch' collectivism?" Then the answer must have come as a gift straight from heaven when Mrs. Jefferson said with loving respect "Thomas I don't know about collect---collectavry--- "Oh Hell," whatever you call that word, but if your going to keep talking with that foul mouth of yours, you can get you ass out of the house and go to the pub" with all of your, so called Republican buddies." Mr. Jefferson responded with jubilance because his wife had just given him the answer he had failed to think of himself. Not Republican, he said "Republic". And with this exchange, our nation and our constitution was born. Now you may have heard a different story about how we became a "Republic" instead of a "Democracy" but I like this one and after all, it's my newsletter, it's called "Nichols Notes," and that's the way I see it. As corny as this sounds I actually want to keep you interested. It is time for you to learn. "The Law of the Collective" is actually one of those simple Rules of life that someone made complex. You know this law, but you were taught the simple version. You know it as, "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link." Now you know, and even though I would sure like to impress you with my mental prowess, I guess the jig is up. Indeed, it is a fancy way to explain the weakest link concept. It does have a very real application in each of our lives. If you will take the time to understand its application historically, as well as its role in modern day politics, a lot of things will become much clearer with the past, present and future of our nation and way of life. The two most important roles collectivism plays in modern politics are our government in Washington and each and every election cycle. Thomas Jefferson knew that if we were a Democracy, our country would fail because the social model he was developing was academically deprived. If you're pondering, how he was able to figure that out, without trying, you haven't as yet learned the Law of the Collective or how it can be applied. Thomas Jefferson knew that our young nation had limited ability to communicate. In those days we didn't have telephone, faxes, emails or even widely distributed newspapers. A Democracy would mean that every American would have to be able to cast a vote on every issue brought forth to establish laws and all other matters of government. Short of this, everyone could vote for the Presidency and once a President was elected he could dictate how the country would be run. Of course, this could not work. Too much power was placed in the hands of one person. We had just fought a war to get out of that situation. Then the communication problem that a Democracy created was too large of a collective to be practical, functional or wise. Therefore, a system had to be devised that would still allow the people of this nation to self rule while at the same time limit the size and scope of the collective. He decided a Republic would be the answer, and our nation and form of government was born. The difference between a Republic and a Democracy is that in a Republic each state would elect people to represent their wishes and regional interest. This solved the problem of the day of communicating to everyone in the country on a daily basis. The State elected a limited number of people to go to one central location to work together for each of their States and its people while reducing the size of the collective. The model worked and is still working today or at least it is supposed to be. The Republic form of government introduced by Thomas Jefferson and adopted by our forefathers was brilliant and has set a standard for the whole world to envy. Why then are our present elected politicians so ashamed of it that they never refer to our nation as a Republic and consistently call us a Democracy? Further, why would we liberate the people of Iraq and install the new form of Government to be installed a Democracy? Especially, when our forefathers rejected this type of Government knowing it could not possibly work. TELECOM 2000 BUSINESS OWNERSGOOD NEWS/BAD NEWSLets start with the Bad News first.
